Bookshelf Curtains

We moved to Sacramento not very long ago and I now that I am working from home I am at a loss for desk space as my work stuff now takes it over. I needed some new way to store some craft stuff and also give me a place to craft. I went to Walmart and picked up a three-shelf bookshelf for only like $15. I put it together and put some of the craft stuff I use most often and decided I needed to make some kind of curtains so that it could be covered up and not look like a total mess.

I went to Walmart and got some brown fabric to match the stripes we have on our bedspread. I also bought binding but never ended up using it. To decorate it a little I bought some snap buttons that I hot glued to my shelves to put the curtains where I wanted them.
I started by measuring the brown fabric using red thread since we also have red in our bedspread.  I attached the snaps to the fabric which is always fun and the glued the other part to the shelf and then let them rest a day before I snapped the fabric to the shelves.
I have to say that I am really excited about how it turned out and it helps to conceal the mess on the shelves. Along with the curtains I have a bunch of new “blinged” flowers and I have been working on my new bluetiful bride collection.  It has been really fun to have time to craft again and get all the creative juices flowing. I have been drawing up all kinds of new ideas and actually been able to put them into action.
Hope you all have a fabulous day and if any of you know of any craft shows in Sacramento or a slow pitch softball team let me know!
