Let’s talk about wild hairs? Ever get them? I do hence how I ended up getting a new phone within 24 hours of deciding I wanted an Iphone, thank you tax return! So I now am the proud owner of a white Iphone! :] I pretty much am so excited about it! So you know I was a good girl and paid off all my credit cards and all my bills before I got the new phone! So it was well deserved if you ask me, tehehe!
So another wild hair this week is that I really wanted some crab dip. I love crab dip and happened to have a coupon for free cream cheese so it cut the cost of the crab dip too so it was a perfect timing for it.
This recipe is from my mom and is super easy to do. I will say now that the measurements are not exact as I just sprinkle but in time you will be able to guess measure too.
Block of cream cheese
½ - 1 cup sour cream depending on how thick you want it
½ small/medium white onion- grated
1 tbs garlic salt
1 tbs worcheshire
¼ cup ketchup
1 can chopped clams, drained (I used chicken of the sea this time but normally I use the other brand that at the store -dark blue can with yellow label.. I like how they are chopped better than these ones)
1 can white crab meat, drained
So now is the easy part… mix it all together you can use a spoon, stand mixer or electric mixer. I used an electric mixer and once you have it all done let it sit in the refrigerator covered for a couple hours before you serve it or else it will be too strong of an onion flavor.
It will have a very light pink color too it and is super yummy with ruffles or any kind of chip you prefer.
I have definitely been snacking on it since I made it and it is as good as I remember but really it is hard to go wrong with chips and dip.
So now I have a dip to snack on while I work on homework tonight since today was the start of my bachelors program. Here comes the fun and the hard work, but I know it will all pay off! :]
