How are all of your on this fabulous Monday? I have added to my project list due to a trip to the SPCA Thrift Store in Sacramento. I made out with a vintage patten, some awesome lace and other fabric.
I was so excited to find the lace since I really want to make some lace shorts that I keep seeing all over pinterest. I also am going to make a lace V-neck shirt and a lace racer back dress. I got a lot of lace! I am so excited to make the shorts so I may even do that this week! :]
I also made a trip to Hobby Lobby and finally picked up a sewing box… I was tired of having five different boxes, now it is all in one nice box. Also at hobby Lobby I got some fabric to make myself a vendor apron using the same steps as my half apron http://craftgeekjj.blogspot.com/2012/03/half-apron.html post. I also plan on embroidering it to say Craft Geek and adding pockets for a phone, pen, money and more. It will be awesome. I will be sure to post the vendor apron when I am done with it.
And I got my herbs planted! I also got a nice strawberry plant! From Right to Left: In the round planter: spearmint, chives and lemon thyme. Three in the center cilantro, basil, curly parsley and then far left is the strawberry plant! :]

So that is already a pretty big list for the week but probably will get done on one super productive day.

I have a lot of chicken in my freezer from a buy one get one sale at Raley’s so it is time to start cleaning out the freezer.
Now the other part of this post is a healthy broiled banana toast as a follow up to my healthy eating post.
I found it in the Carb Lover’s Diet Cookbook I won but they used Rye and well I am not a huge fan of Rye unless it is a Reuben so I used whole wheat toast.
1.Take a whole banana, half the banana and then split that in half.
2. Sprinkle the top of the banana with about 1 tbs brown sugar.
3. Broil the bananas for 2-4 minutes.
4. Once done place the broiled bananas on whole wheat toast that was topped with peanut butter.
This is my new favorite way to eat bananas and peanut butter on toast.
Another Healthy Option is my Make Ahead Breakfast Burritos but sub sausage for lean ground turkey and the cheddar for Swiss and regular tortillas for whole wheat tortillas and now it’s a healthy make ahead option.
Some more of my favorites are sourdough toast with an over easy egg and steamed asparagus.
Or sourdough topped with wilted sautéed spinach an over easy egg and Swiss cheese.
Eggs are a great source of protein!! :]
Or if you don’t want eggs how about some oatmeal with fresh bananas or broiled bananas from above with nuts and agave or maple for a sweetener… banana nut oatmeal!
Or a nice bowl of fresh fruit with some granola, or just by itself.
