Have you linked up to the linky party yet? Well here is the link:Whip it up Wednesdays!
So I have been on a major food kick this last week! I promise I did some crafting like I changed up the embellishments from my ear warmers.
I kind of was feeling that the embellishments were just there and didn’t really fit the earwarmer so I added a bow to the black one and a rosette to the grey one. Now I like them much more and I am going to be wearing them at the Lemon race this weekend at Infineon. The joyous things you go to when your guy goes to a vocational school. Though I think it should be fun and plan on rocking my ear warmer and also rocking out some clay sculptures that have been on my to do list and maybe I will post a tutorial on one of my easier projects since some of the sculptures get to be a little crazy.
Now in the meantime I also have been cooking a lot of food like cream cheese wontons! :] I love cream cheese wonton, they are just so good!
· Low fat cream cheese
· 1 tsp siracha- optional
· 2 green onions- chopped
· wonton wrappers
· Oil for frying
Heat the oil to 375. Now mix the cream cheese, siracha and green onions all together.
After that is mixed lay your wrapper on your board. Moisten the edges with water. Place about 1 tbs of the mixture on one half.
Fold the wrapper over and line it up with itself and press the edges together with your fingers.
Repeat as necessary
If you do not need to make them right then cover them with a moist paper towel.
The oil should be at 375 somewhere in there. Add to the oil and fry for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
Remove and serve with sweet chili sauce, ponzu or soy sauce or eat them plain. They are yummy and are a good side to some fried rice, orange chicken, sesame chicken or by themselves like I had them as my lunch.
Also if you have a lot of fillings don’t be afraid to package it up and store it in the fridge for a week or so. I tend to make a 5-6 at a time and put the rest of the cream cheese mixture in the fridge for the next time.
To make the presentation pop sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onion slices.
