Healthy Eating Tip- Meal Prepping

One thing I have learned about healthy eating from starting and stopping a few times is that meal prepping and planning is very important. 

If you do not prep or plan properly you may find yourself in the drive through or reaching for something in the vending machine or if you are me and you work near where food trucks meet you will end up there. 

What I like to do is plan what I am going to make so I can make a good list for the store. Once I get back from the store I chop and divide into containers my fruit for my snacks and it is always a great go to snack when you are feeling hungry. 

I also like to cook all my lunch meals on one day and portion them out so that the day before all I have to do is put it all in my lunch bag and I am good to go to bed.

I also really like to snack and so I make sure I have a lot of good snacks around like fresh fruit or freeze dried fruit from Trader Joes or veggies or something else that is good to munch on.

Snacks I like include:
  • raw almonds
  • berries
  • sugar snap peas
  • radishes
  • baby carrots
  • freeze dried fruit
  • quaker popped chips (in individual bags)
  • cuties (clementine oranges)
  • costco grapefruit cups
  • pistachios and other nuts
  • dried fruit (check the label make sure it only lists mango and not a bunch of other crap)
  • hard boiled eggs
  • Tootsie Rolls (the fruity ones 4 of them for 93.3 calories.. I need a sweet treat)
