Turkey Sliders

I cannot believe that I have not made this into a recipe yet!

It is Nico's favorite meal! It is also the meal that made him realize ground turkey can be just as good as ground beef!

I used:
1 lb lean ground turkey
2 slices of cheese
Barbeque Sauce
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
Hawaiian Rolls

I mix the ground turkey with 2 Tbs of barbeque sauce, 1 teaspoon each of garlic powder, onion powder, salt and 1/2 tsp pepper. Mix lightly.

Form the mixture into patties should make about 8.
Heat a medium saute pan.

Chop a medium yellow onion.

Saute the onion over medium heat with a little bit of olive oil.

Once the onions are almost all the way cooked then heat a large pan or gridle or grill.

Cut the slice of cheese into four pieces.

Cook the patties thoroughly, with 1 minute left put a small piece of cheese on the patty.
While the cheese melts, toast the hawaiian rolls for 1 minute under the broiler.
Assemble with a patty topped with grilled onions, and your choice of sauce.

I prefer to top it with thousand island or if I have extra in n out spread I will use that.
They are so yummy, so lean and pretty easy too!

Give them a try when you can!

Stay Crafty
